Electroacoustic modeling Our challenge was to design an easy to use automated audio system, to reproduce speech and music with excellent intelligibility in this large highly reverberant space. It was imperative that the system that would be as aesthetically pleasing against the heritage listed architecture Contracting and installation Mark Gelmi and Bernard Wansborough Modeled using EASE21 computer software. Electro Acoustic Simulation using EARS software producing a Compact disc of audio tracks from listener seats prior to installation. Complete manual and wiring diagrams supplied. Mechanical Engineering Specification Because the building was so old the stone walls had to be tested so fixing could be certified and brackets could be designed to enable the speakers to be positioned and the weight of over 250KG to be held. |

Electroacoustic modeling The system was Modeled using EASE21 computer software. This provided speaker position and delay time for the APOGEE AE-9 main speaker system and the APOGEE ACS3 delay speaker system. The system was capable of handling format live band night with a capacity crowd of 500 people. Contracting and installation The Main 32 channel mixing console effects units, delay and equalizers were installed in a lockable equipment cabinet. Mechanical Engineering Specification Speech inteligabilty was also the of upmost importance for services and the 3 Apogee AE-9 loudspeaker power with the Apogee DA800 digital amplfiers were amazing. The two outside speakers were slightly delayed bringing the center speaker forward providing a precedence effect (the human ear turn the head to hear the first inphase arriving sound) which was towards or at the podium. |
